FLOATING FRUIT PARFAITS

  • 1/2 c Slice Strawberries or Cantaloup balls
  • 3/4 c Boiling water
  • 1 pkg (4 oz) Strawberry flavor or orange flavor jello
  • 1/2 c Cold water
  • 3/4 c Ice cubes
  • Divide strawberries among 6 dessert glasses. Stir boiling water into dry gelatin mix in medium bowl at least 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add cold water and ice cubes; stir unti ice is completely melted. Remove 3/4 c of the gelatin; pour evenly over strawberries. Refrigerate 20 min. or until gelatin is set but not firm.

    Add 1 c whipped topping to remaining gelatin; stir with wire whisk until gelatin is set but not firm.

    Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. Top each parfait with 1 T of the remaining whipped topping just before serving. Store leftover parfaits in refrigerator.

    Makes 6 servings.
