ANGEL FLAKE BISCUITS

  • 5 cupss Flour
  • 1/4 cups Sugar
  • 3 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoons Soda
  • 1 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 1/2 cupss Buttermilk
  • 1/2 cups Oil
  • 2 packages Yeast, dry
  • Sift dry ingrdients together. Mix buttermilk, oil and yeast and add to dry ingredients. Mix with spoon until all flour is moistened. Cover bowl and store in refrigerator un til ready to use.

    Take out amount needed. Roll out 1 inch thick on floured board and cut with a large biscuit cutter. Place in greased pan with sides touching. Allow to rise 15 - 20 minutes.

    Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

    Flavor is better if dough is made up at least the night before. Will keep several weeks in refrigerator.
