CRANBERRY NUT BREAD

  • 1 cup Cranberries, chopped
  • 3/4 cup Walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Grated Orange Peel
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons Shortening
  • 3/4 cup Orange juice
  • 1 Egg
  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°. Liberally grease and lightly flour a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.

    2. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients, just until moistened. Spoon into prepared pan.

    3. Bake 60 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely before slicing.
