Oriental, Pork Mutton Veal

LO MEIN NOODLES WITH SPICY PORK

  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Rice wine vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons Hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 3 teaspoons Sesame oil, divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes, crushed
  • 1 pound Lo Mein Noodles, uncooked
  • 1 teaspoon Peanut or Vegetable Oil
  • 1 pound Ground pork
  • 2 Green Onions, chopped
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1. In small bowl combine beef broth, soy sauce, vinegar, Hoison sauce, corn starch, 1 tsp sesame oil and red pepper flakes until well blended. Set aside

    2. In large saucepot of boiling, lightly salted water, cook noodles 10 minutes or until just tender.

    3. While noodles are cooking, heat peanut oil in large skillet over med-high heat. Add pork, green onions and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, until pork just loses it's pink color. Stir in sauce mixture and bring back to boil. Reduce heat to low, simmer about 4 minutes until sauce is thickened.

    4. When sauce is almost done, drain noodles and place in serving bowl. Toss with remaing 2 tsps sesame oil.

    5. Add pork mixture to noodles and toss to combine. Serve.

    Makes 6-8 servings
