HERBED FRENCH BREAD

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 6 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons Chives
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 loaf French Bread
  • 1. Preheat oven to 400°. Slice loaf of bread into 1/2 inch slices.

    2. Melt butter in saucepan. Add oil and garlic; saute until garlic is tender. Remove from heat; stir in Parmesan, chives and mustard. Cool for 5 minutes or until creamy.

    3. Spread mixture on one side of each slice of bread. Place with buttered side up on an ungreased baking sheet.

    4. Bake at 400° for 8-10 minutes or broil 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned.

    Makes 9-12 slices
