Beef, Soups and Stews

POT OF GOLD

  • 1 large can(family size) Tomato Soup
  • 1 large can(family size) Water
  • 1/2 cup Onions, chopped,optional
  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 tube Grand Biscuits,any brand,buttermilk
  • 1 pound Cheese, Cheddar,mild
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Dumplings

    Take the grand biscuits, 8 in a tube. Cut each biscuit in half.

    Cut the chedder cheese into 16 pieces. Take a piece of cheese and wrap piece of biscuit dough around it. This make 16 dumplings.

    Soup

    Brown ground beef and onions,drain the fat off mixture.

    Add the can of soup and water, bring this to a boil turn heat to medium,add salt and pepper to taste, add the dumplings.Bring back to boiling

    Cover with lid and let cook for 20 minutes.

    You may use any degree of cheeder, what ever you prefer

    This is very good cooked on camping trips.
