Cakes and Frostings

CHERRY CAKE

  • 1 pkg. (18 1/4 oz) Yellow cake mix
  • 1 can (21 oz) Cherry pie filling
  • 3 Eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c Brown sugar packed
  • 2 t Flour
  • 1 t Cinnamon
  • 2 t Butter, softened
  • 1/2 c Chopped pecans
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the cake mix, pie filling and eggs until blended. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 x 2" baking pan. Combine the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and butters; sprinkle over batter. Top with nuts.

    Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Yield 15 servings.
