CROCKPOT MULLED WINE

  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups Water, boiling
  • 1/2 Lemon, sliced thin
  • 3 Cinnamon sticks
  • 3 whole Cloves
  • 1 bottle Burgundy wine or other red wine
  • Dissolve sugar in boiling water in saucepan. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into slow cooker. Heat on Low for at least 1 hour, until wine is hot. Do not boil. Serve from cooker into mugs.

    Makes 8 1-cup servings.
