OLD FASHIONED RICE PUDDING

  • 6 cups Whole milk
  • 3/4 cup Rice
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 3 Egg yolks (beaten)
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • Raisins
  • Cinnamon
  • 1. In a medium saucepan, bring milk to a boil over med high heat; stir in rice and return to boil; reduce heat and simmer about 55 mins; stirring occassionally.

    2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine sugar, egg yolks, vanilla and salt. Set aside.

    3. When rice is tender, stir in sugar mixture and raisins until completely combined. Heat to boil. Remove from heat and pour into a 2 quart dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Store in refrigerator.
