MARVELOUS MACAROONS

  • 7 ounces Coconut flakes
  • 2/3 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Flour, all-purpose
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 Egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon Almond extract
  • 1 cup Almonds, chopped
  • 1. Preheat oven to 325°. Lightly grease baking sheets.

    2. Mix together coconut, sugar, flour and salt. Stir in egg whites and almond extract; mix well. Stir in almonds; mix well.

    3. Drop from tsp onto baking sheets. Bake for 20 mins or until edges of cookies are golden brown. Remove form baking sheets immediately. Let cool and serve.

    Makes approximately 30 cookies.
