STUFFED FRENCH TOAST

  • 18 slices French bread
  • 1 pound Ham, thinly sliced
  • 9 slices Cheese, Swiss
  • 6 large Eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup Butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
  • Place 9 slices bread in greased 13X9 pan.Top with ham,cheese and bread slice. Whisk eggs and next 3 ing.; Pour over bread and let stand 10 min., turn once. Melt 2 T. butter in lg. skillet; add half toast and cook 1 - 2 min on each side. Place on greased jellyroll pan. Repeat with remaining bread. Bake at 375° 20 - 25 min or until golden. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
