CINNAMON ROLLS WITH CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

  • 1 Package Yeast, dry 1/4 oz.
  • 1 Cup Milk, warm 110-115 degrees
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1/3 Cup Butter, melted
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 4 to 4 1/2 cups Flour
  • Filling
  • 1/4 Cup Butter, melted
  • 3/4 Cup Brown sugar, firmly packed
  • Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 1/2 Cup Butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Salt
  • In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in wram milk. Add the sugar butter, eggs, salt and 2 cups of the flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough flour to form a ball. The dough will be sticky.

    Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastis., about 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

    Punch the dough down. Turn on to a floured surface inti a 24x13 inch rectangle; bursh with melted filling butter. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over dough to within 1 inch of sides. Roll up jelly roll style, starting from long side. Pinch seam to seal.

    Cut into 12- 2 inch piece slices. Place in greased 13x9x2 baking pan.

    Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.

    Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan or on wire rack. In a small mixing bowl, combine frosting ingredients until smooth. Frost rolls.

    Makes and frosts 12 rolls.
