HOPE'S APPLE COBBLER

  • 4 cups Apples, peeled and sliced thin
  • 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 1 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cups Walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cups Flour
  • 3/4 cups Sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 Eggs, beaten
  • 3 teaspoons Water
  • 1/3 cups Evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cups Butter or margarine, melted and cooled
  • Place apples in 9" round well buter baking dish.

    Sprinkle 1 cup sugar and cinnamon over the apples and sprinkle the walnuts over the apples.

    In mixng bowl sift together flour, 3 cup sugar, Baking Powder and salt, set aside.

    In another bowl combine Egg, water, evaporated milk and Melted Butter.

    Add egg mixture all at once to the flour mixture, mix until smooth.

    Pour batter over apples.

    Bake 45-1 Hour at 325° oven.
