AMISH VANILLA PIE

  • 1 Pie shells 9"
  • 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cups Dark Karo Syrup
  • 1 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoons Vanilla
  • Topping
  • 1 cups Flour
  • 1/2 cups Brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons Cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoons Baking soda
  • 1/2 cups Butter (cold but soft)
  • Combine filling ingredients and bring to a full boil over medium heat stirring constantly, remove from het set aside to coll (filling will become thick).

    Mix Crumb mixture together using hands until crumbly, do not mix too long or it will become doughy only mix till crumbly.

    Pour Cooled filling into Pie shell Sprinkle with Crumb topping Bake at 350°°°
