FISH BATTER FROM LONG JOHN SILVER'S

  • 2 cups Flour, self-rising
  • 1/3 cup Dry mustard
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 teaspoons Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • Heat oil to 400º.

    Sift together mustard and flour.

    Add all other ingredients and beat with electric mixer.

    Dip and coat and deep fry.

    To make self rising flour, to each 1 cup of flour, add 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
