Gramp's Goodies

  • 1/3 cup Cocoa powder
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 cups Oats, rolled (raw)
  • 2 cup Coconut shreds
  • 1/2 cup Chopped pecans
  • In a large saucepan, combine cocoa, sugar, milk and butter. Heat stirring constantly, over medium-high heat until the mixture boils. Boil 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat, and stir in vanilla, oats, coconut and pecans. Stir until stiff. Drop by heaping teaspoons on waxed paper. Cool. Makes 24 to 36 haystacks.
