Real Hamburgers

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 Small Onion
  • 1 Garlic, minced
  • ~ Salt and pepper
  • ~ Oil for sauteing
  • 2 slices White Bread soaked and pressed out
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard
  • Soak white bread in water, then press water out. Tear into very small pieces.Mix all ingredients except oil, and form into 6 to 8 round patties.

    Heat oil inskillet; place patties into oil and saute on medium-high heat on both sides forabout 12 minutes. They should be a verynice dark brown; crunchy on the outsideand juicy inside. Very good, when served hot with very cold Bavarian Potato Salad. Or cold the next day on a sandwich.
