Cookies

Basic Cookie Dough

  • 1 cup Butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Packed light brown sugar
  • 1 Egg, large
  • 1 Egg white
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 3/4 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • Beat all ingredients except flour in a large bowl with mixer on meduim speed, until fluffy. Reduce speed to low. Gradually add flour and beat just until blended.

    Divide dough in 2 equal portions (about 1 1/2 cup each).

    Prepare each portionas directed in recipe.
