Golden Raisin Cookies

  • 1 cup Butter, softened (no Subsitiutes)
  • 1 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 3 1/2 cups Flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Cream of tartar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 2 1/2 cups Golden raisins
  • Preheat oven to 400°.

    In a mixing bowl,cream butter and sugar. Add lemon juiceand eggs. Combine dry ingredients: gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in raisins. Roll into 1" balls. Place on greased baking sheets, flatten with a floured fork.

    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
