Chocolate Cherry Bars
PREHEAT OVEN TO 350º. GREASE AND FLOUR 15x10-inch JELLY ROLL PAN OR 13x9-inch CAKE PAN.
IN LARGE BOWL COMBINE CAKE MIX,PIE FILLING, ALMOND EXTRACT AND EGGS. STIR BY HAND UNTIL WELL MIXED. POUR INTO PREPARED PAN. BAKE JELLY ROLL PAN FOR 20-30 MINUTES, CAKE PAN FOR 25-30 MINUTES,OR UNTIL TOOTHPICK INSERTED IN CENTER COMES OUT CLEAN.
IN SMALL SAUCEPAN, COMBINE SUGAR, MARGARINE AND MILK. HEAT UNTILBOILING; BOIL 1 MINUTE, STIRRING CONSTANTLY. REMOVE FROM HEAT AND STIR IN CHOCOLATE CHIPS UNTIL SMOOTH. POUR OVER WARM BARS.
MAKES 24-36 BARS.
