Dressed Baked Fish

  • 1 1/2 pounds Fish fillets (any white fish will do)
  • 4 cups Bread cubes lightly packed into cup
  • 1/2 medium Onions, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Marjoram
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 medium Tomatos, fresh, chopped
  • ~ Parmesan cheese
  • PREHEAT OVEN TO 400º. GREASE A SHALLOW BAKING DISH.

    ARRANGE FISH IN SINGLE LAYER IN PAN.

    IN A BOWL, COMBINE BREAD CRUMBS, ONION, LEMON JUICE, MARJORAM, SALT, PEPPER AND BUTTER. SPRINKLE THIS MIXTURE OVER FISH.

    TOP CRUMB MIXTURE WITH TOMATOAND SPRINKLE WITH PARMESAN CHEESE.

    BAKEFOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES, OR UNTIL FISH IS OPAQUE.

    *** ORANGE ROUGHY WORKS WELL. FLOUNDER TENDS TO BE A LITTLE DRY.
