Vanishing Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

  • 1 cups Butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 cups Brown sugar, light, packed
  • 1/2 cups Sugar, granulated
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups Flour, all-purpose
  • 1 teaspoons Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt (optional)
  • 3 cups Quaker Oats
  • 1 cups Raisins
  • Heat oven to 350°.

    Beat margarine and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well.

    Combine flour, baking soda,cinnamon and salt. Add to margarine mixture, mixing well.

    Stir in oats and raisins; mix well Drop by rounded Tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until light golden brown.

    Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Cool completely, store in airtight container.
