4 Layer Surprise

  • 3/4 cups Butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups Flour
  • 3 tablespoons Sugar
  • 3/4 cups Nuts, chopped
  • 2 packages Cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups Confectioner's sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups Whipped topping
  • 3 packages Lemon pudding mix
  • 4 1/2 cups Milk
  • Mix the butter, flour, sugar and nuts like pie crust, pat into 13x9 pan. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes. Cool.

    Mix Cream cheese and confectioners sugar well, add 1-1/2 cup whipped topping (from 13-1/2 oz package) and chill Mix 3 packages pudding mix with 4-1 cups milk, let set (Anyflavor pudding may be used) Spread withremainder of whipped topping.

    Chill 24 hours before serving.
