Mom's Best Brownies

  • 1/2 cups Cake flour
  • 1/2 cups Cocoa powder, unsweetened Dutch
  • 1/4 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 Egg whites
  • 1 large Eggs
  • 3/4 cups Sugar, granulated
  • 6 tablespoons Applesauce, unsweetened
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoons Walnuts, chopped
  • Preheat oven to 350°. Spray an 8" square baking pan with vegetable cooking spray and set aside.

    In medium bowl, combineflour, cocoa and salt. Mix well. In large bowl, whixk together egg whites, egg surgar, applesauce, oil and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture until just blended; do not overmix. Pour batter into preparedpan; sprinkle with walnuts.

    Bake until just set and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 25 minutes.

    Place pan on a wire rack and cool for at least 15 minutes. Cut brownies into squares and place on a serving plate.
