Rolled Sugar Cookies

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 3/4 cups Flour, all purpose
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. If using adark cookie sheetm, reduce heat 25 degrees. Cream butter and sugar, add egg andmix. Add remaining ingredients and mix until smooth. Refrigerate dough 2 hours.Roll out dough to 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured surface, dip cutters into flour before each use. Place on ungreasedcookie sheet.

    Bake 12 - 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Place on cooling rack for 5 minutes, remove from sheet andcool.

    Makes 24 - 30 cookies.
