Honey-Ginger Sauce
In a saucepan, combine the orange juice, honey, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, lime zest and juice, ginger, shallots, five-spice powder and cayenne pepper. Heat mixture over medium-high heat until it reaches a simmer. Add the conrstarch mixture and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and set aside until sauce cools to room temperature.
Makes 1 cup.
NOTE: Chinese five-spice powder can be found in the spice section of Asian food section of most supermarkets.
