Stuffed Mushrooms

  • 2 1/2 dozen Large mushrooms
  • 1/2 pound Jimmy dean hot pork sausage
  • 4 ounce package Cream cheese, softened
  • ~ Green onion tops
  • Pluck stems from mushroom tops, and cutstems in tiny pieces. Fry sausage, adding the cut stems to mixture. Drain grease from meat; cool. About an hour later, mix the cooked sausage and stems with softened cream cheese. Add some green onion tops and mix well. Stuff the mushroom tops with mixture. Bake on a cookie sheet at 325° until light brown, about 20 to25 minutes. Good hot or cold.
