Crackle Top Ginger Cookies

  • 1 cups Butter or margarine
  • 1 Eggs, beaten
  • 1 cups Sugar
  • 1 cups Molasses
  • 1 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 4 cups Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoons Ginger
  • Preheat oven to 350°. Cream: butter, egg, sugar, mollasses, and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together, add to creamed mixture. Chill for about 4 hrs. Shape into 1 inch balls. Roll in sugar. Tap lighlty onto baking sheet with fork. Bake 10min. Makes 60-80.
