Side Dishes
Amish Dressing
Cut bread up day before using.
Cover potatoes and carrots in saucepan with 1 cup of broth, cook, till just barley done.Cool. Saute onions and celery in butter, cool. When everything is cool enough, mix with bread cubes. Add more broth if needed till nice and moist. Bake in a greased dish, or stuffing for chicken. Bake for 30-45 minutes at 350°.
Since this is Amish , there is no sage in it, but Iadd 1 tabespoon of rubbed sage to everylarge loaf of bread, or to taste, and Iadd 1 egg to each loaf of bread to broth.
This is also good by adding 2 cups ofcooked chopped chicken, 1 cup milk, andbaking as a main dish.
Bake at 35-45 minutes at 350°
