Savory Rice Special

  • 3 cups Rice, cooked
  • 1 cup Celery, chopped
  • 1/4 pound Grated cheese
  • 1 dessertspoon Flour
  • 1 dessertspoon Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • ~ Salt and pepper to taste
  • To drained, boiled rice add milk, butter, salt and pepper/ Simmer for 5 minutes.

    Thicken with flour if needed.

    Add grated cheese, cooked celery pieces or peas,stir until cheese is melted.

    Stir in paprika for extra delicious savoury flavour.

    Serve topped with parsley or chives.

    New Welsh Rarebit:- Simply spread the above mixture on toast and brown lightly under griller.
