Poached Apple Slices

  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 2 Apples
  • Combine water, sugar and salt.

    Simmer for five minutes.

    Meanwhile cut apples into slices, leaving the peel on.

    Drop into the sugar syrup and cook gently until tender.

    Remove from the heat; let the apple slices cool in the syrup to plump.

    Drain before using.
