Strawberry Trifle

  • 1 packet Jelly crystals
  • 2 small cups Water, boiling
  • 1 Sponge cake, stale
  • ~ Strawberries
  • ~ Custard
  • 2 Egg whites
  • Dissolve jelly crystals in 2 small cupsof boiling water and pour over stale sponge cake.

    When col add layers of strawberries and custard and top with stiffy beaten egg whites.

    To make custard: - Beat 2 egg yokes with 2 desserspoons cornflour, 1 tablespoon sugar and vanilla essence; stir into 1 pint boiling milk then boil together for 5 minutes.
