Fruit Sauce For Ice Cream

  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Jam
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Sherry
  • Put water and sugar in a saucepan and boil for 5 - 6 minutes.

    Add jam (jellied jam) of your choice.

    Keep boiling till jelly has quite dissolved and mixture is quite smooth, then add lemon juice and sherry.

    Stir well in.
