Mom's Spaghetti

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon Romano cheese, grated
  • 4 slices Bread
  • 1 teaspoon Parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Onion, chopped
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 medium Tomatos, stewed
  • 2 small cans Tomato paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 Bay leafs
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sweet basil, dried
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1 pound Spaghetti, cooked
  • Soak bread slices in 3 TB of water & squeeze.

    Combine 1st 9 ingredients & shapeinto balls.

    Fry on all four sides on brisk heat in oil.

    Combine tomatoes, tomato paste, salt & pepper & bring to a boil.

    Add meatballs.

    Simmer for 1 hour in thick pan.

    Add bay leaves, sweet basil & butter to sauce went done.

    Pour sauce over spahetti.
