Cookies

4-H Oatmeal Cookies

  • 1 cup Flour, all-purpose
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder, double-acting
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Margarine
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar, light
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 tablespoons Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 cup Oats, quick-cooking
  • 1/2 cup Raisins
  • Pre-heat oven to 375°. Measure flour,baking powder,cinnamon and salt. Sift together. Sit aside.

    In mixing bowl cream margarine and brown sugar. Add egg, milk and vanilla.

    Stir flour mixture into creamed mixture.

    Stir in oats and raisins.

    Drop by teaspoon onto greased baking sheet 2 inches apart.

    Bake 12 minutes or until lightly browned.

    Remove cookies fromcookie sheet with spatula and cool on wire rack.
