Sour Cream Date Muffins

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts, chopped
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup Sour cream
  • 1/2 cup Dates, chopped
  • Stir together flour, salt and spices. In medium bowl beat egg, add sugar and sour cream and beat to blend. Add flour mixture, dates, nuts. Stir only until moistened. (Batter will be lumpy) Fill 12 muffin cups 3/4 full. Bake at 350° for about 25 minutes. Serve warn Note: Raisins maybe used in place of the Dates.
