Candy

Toffee

  • 1 cups Butter (real)
  • 1 cups Sugar
  • 2 regular sized Hershey bar
  • Spread chopped nuts on bottom of 9x 13 -inch pan. (Mixed nuts, whole almonds and cashews work great too.) Have to regular size plain Hershey candy bars ready and upwrapped.

    Cook butter (real), sugar on medium heat in large pan. Stir entiretime. This takes from 10- 20 minutes. When mixutre has turned a light brown (Tan) and has separated and gone back together and slides around in the pan, it is ready.

    Spread mixture over the nuts using a spoon or rubbver scraper. May not cover the entire bottom of pan.

    Layer hershey bars on top. Within a minute they will melt - than spread like frosting.

    Cool. It's faster if you place into refrigerator. Break into pieces..
