Apple Crunch

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Oats, quick-cooking
  • 3/4 cup Butter - melted
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 teaspoons Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 6 1/2 cups Apples, cooking, peeled and sliced
  • Combined first 4 ingredients and spread1 the mixture in the bottom of 9 x 13" pan.

    Cook until thick and clear the next4 ingredients, sugar, salt, cornstarch,and water.

    Add vanilla and apples. Spread apple filling on top of crumbs in pan. Top with remaining crumbs. Bake at 350° for 50 -55 minutes or until golden brown.
