John's Basting Sauce

  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons John's Dry Spices
  • 2 cups Vinegar, red wine
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Hot sauce
  • 1 small Bay leafs
  • Stir together all ingredients; cover and let stand 8 hours.

    Remove bay leaf. Yield: 4 1/2 cups.

    This sauce was intendedfor ribs, but it ain't too shabby on steaks, chicken, hamburgers, ect. What thehell, give it a try!*
