Ground Beef Casserole

  • 1 pounds Ground beef
  • 1/2 cups Celery, sliced
  • 1/2 cups Onions, chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 15-oz. can Tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups Rice, cooked
  • 1 8-oz.can Corn, drained
  • 1/4 cups Tomato paste
  • 1/4 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons Basil, crushed
  • 1/8 teaspoons Italian seasoning, crushed
  • 1/8 teaspoons Pepper
  • 6 slices Cheese, diagonally sliced
  • 1 Tomato, sliced
  • Preheat oven to 375°.

    In large pan, cook beef over medium heat.

    Drain and remove beef from pan.

    Add celery, onion and garlic to pan. Cook, stirring for four minutes or until soft. Return beef to pan.

    Add next 8 ingredients; stir until blended.

    Spoon half of mixture into 8-inch square baking dish. Arrange half of the cheese slices over top. Repeat layers. Place tomatoes on top. Bake 30 minutes or until bubbly.
