Heavenly Biscuits

  • 2 packages Yeast
  • 2 tablespoons Water,warm (110*)
  • 3/4 cups Solid shortening
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 3 tablespoons Sugar, granulated
  • 5 cups Flour, all-purpose
  • 1 teaspoons Baking soda
  • 3 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 2 cups Buttermilk
  • Dissolve yeast in water, cut shorteninginto dry ingredients, add dissolved yeast and buttermilk. Stir well, place in air tight container and refrigerate. Takeout as needed and roll out on floured board. Cut out and place on greased cookie shet. Bake 15-20 minutes at 400 º.
