Mushroom Sauce For Kevin's Meatloaf

  • 8 ounces Mushroom, fresh
  • 4 ounces Bacon, crisp, chopped
  • 1 small can Beef broth
  • 8 ounces Heavy Cream
  • ~ Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Water, cold
  • Cook bacon in a saucepan until browned,add mushrooms, reduce heat and simmer until mushrooms are thoroughly cooked. Add beef broth, bring to a boil, reduce heat and add cream. In a separate bowl, combine cornstarch and water and mix together until smooth, either by hand or witha fork. Water must be cold. Add mixtureto sauce until desired thickness is reached. Season with salt and pepper.
