Better Ever Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

  • 2 cups Quick cooking oats, uncooked
  • 1 1/4 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 sticks Margarine or butter
  • 1 cup Peanut butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In small bowl combine the oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

    2. In large bowl with mixer at medium speed,beat the margarine and peanut butter until smooth. Beat in sugars until blended. Beat in eggs and vanilla.

    Blend in flour mixture.

    3. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

    4. Bake 12 minutes or untillightly browned. Remove from cookie sheets. Cool on wire rack. Store in tightlycovered container.
