Baked Apples

  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/4 tablespoons Cinnamon
  • 1/8 tablespoons Mace
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 4 large firm Apples, peeled and cored
  • 4 tablespoons Rum
  • 1/3 cup Orange juice
  • 1 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • Mix flour, sugar, butter, cinnamon, marce and salt, blendwith fingers until crumbly. Fill the appels with the mixture, resering a little to be sprinkled over the top. Add 1 tablespoon rum to each apple. Put apples in a buttered baking dishc, mix orange juice, lemon juice and water and add to dish. Bake at 375° for about 45 minutes or until apples are cooked.

    If desired, serve hot apples with whipped cream.
