Ham Crescents

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup Mealy potatoes, cooked and mashed
  • 1/4 tablespoons Salt
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1/2 package Yeast, dissolved in
  • Tablespoons Water
  • FILLING :
  • 1 1/2 cups Boiled or smoked ham, ground
  • 1 whole Egg
  • ~ Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoons Parsley, minced
  • 1 tablespoons Onion, grated
  • 1 tablespoons Fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 Egg white
  • Work flour, butter, potatoes, salt, eggyolk an yeast into a dough. Shape into a ball, cover and let stand for an hour.Roll out about 1 inch thick and cut into 4-inch squares.

    Blend ha, whole egg, pepper, parsley, union and dill. Put one teaspoon of the mixture in one corner ofeach dough square, roll up each square and bend into crescent shape. Brush withegg white and place on a greased bakingsheet. Let rise for an hour before baking. Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes until golden yellow.
