Cakes and Frostings

Toss About Cake

  • 1 Stick Margarine
  • 3 tablespoons Cocoa powder
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • ICING ~
  • 1 pound Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Stick Margarine
  • 3 tablespoons Cocoa
  • 6 tablespoons Milk
  • Melt together first three ingredients, bring to a boil. In a mixing bowl combine the remaining cake ingredients, mix well. Add chocolate mixture, mix well. Pour into a sheet cake pan and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

    Icing: Heat icing ingredients in a pan, mixing well. Spread overwarm cake.
