Oven Barbecued Pork Ribs

  • 1 1/2 cups Catsup
  • 3/4 cup Chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup Vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoons Paprika
  • 3 1/4 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 Garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoons Tobasco
  • 5 pounds Pork back ribs
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 6 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Combine 1 1/4 Cup water with,catchup,chilie sauce,vinegar,worcestershire,brown sugar, lemon juice, paprika, 2 1/4 tsp salt, garlic and tobasco. Heat to boiling, reduce and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes, until sauce a good basting consistancy.

    Cut ribs into 3 or 4 portions, sprinkle with 1 tsp salt and the pepper, place on a rack in a shallow baking pan and roast at 450 for 30 minutes. Remove fron rack and drain of grease. Place ribs in pan meatly side down. Brush with sauce, reduce heat to 300 and bake for 30 minutes. Turn meaty side up, brush with sauce and bake for another hour basting with more of the sauce, until ribs are tender and nicely browned. Serve remaining sauce with the ribs.
