Cinnamon Coffee Cake

  • 1 cup Butter
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 (8 oz.) Sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1/2 cup Almonds, sliced and toasted
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons Sugar
  • Cream butter, add sugar until light. Add eggs one at a time, beat 30 seconds each time. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and add 1/3 of this dry mixture to creamed mixture, stirring by hand until blended. Repeat and add vanilla. Spoon 1/3 of almond mixture into well greased and floured bundt pan and pour in half thebatter. add another 1/3 almond mix, batter and remaining almond mix.

    Bake 350* for 50-60 minutes. Cool 1 hour and remove from pan.
