Basic Cookie Dough

  • 4 1/2 cups Flour, all-purpose
  • 3 sticks Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • In large bowl beat butter, sugar, egg, vanilla and salt.

    Gradually add flour.

    Beat until well combined.

    Refrigerate dough for 1 hour.

    Separate into 4 pieces.

    Roll out 1 piece to 1/4" thickness. Cut shapes.

    Place shapes on ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes.
