Basic Pizza Dough

  • 3-3 1/2 cups Flour, All Purpose
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 pkg Yeast, Dry Active
  • 3/4 cup lukewarm Water
  • 2 Tbsp Oil, Olive
  • Mix flour, salt and sugar thoroughly. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and addto flour mixture all at once.

    Stir inand add oil. Continue mixing dough until it begins to form a ball in the bowl. Place a ball of dough on a lightly floured

    board and knead for 8-10 minutes. Place dough in a greased bowl. Cover with cloth and put in draft free place to rise until double in bulk. Punch down dough and allow to rise another 20 minutes before rolling out.

    Makes 1 deep dishcrust with top crust layer.

    ** note: If you wish to omit top crust, halve all ingredients, EXCEPT yeast, and prepare as directed.
